Lauren & Kevin’s Block Island wedding at the Sullivan House was elegant beachy bliss! The couple were most interested in having candid photographs that captured the feel of the day, and that wasn’t hard at all given their genuine emotions and lighthearted attitude. The day started off as the sun shone dramatically across the ocean into Lauren’s room as she was preparing for her day with her bridesmaids at her private family home.
Lauren’s beauty and smile were contagious. Meanwhile, the morning light set a dramatic stage for Kevin too, as he got ready in a rustic wooden room at the Sullivan House.
Absolutely love the socks Kevin. This couple had such great style and vision for their special day.
Who can resist those little cuties?! From those matching pins and bow ties to those adorable signs…these boys were too much! Kevin’s beaming smile followed by Lauren’s tears of joy were so touching to see.
I love Lauren & Kevin’s modern take on the ‘Just Married’ tin can — instead on a getaway car! Or in their case a getaway truck.
White florals and balconies with the sweeping greenery around the ocean made a magnificent backdrop for Lauren & Kevin’s genuine & gorgeous portraits. Their private home provided the perfect backdrop for portraits.
Every little detail at the couple’s reception was intricately thought through to set the mood. Rocks, driftwood, and rope dotted the tablescapes and decor. Light blue and airy, the stationary kept in line with the beach theme by using a soft water color aesthetic.
The smiles across everyone’s faces in the mother son & father daughter dances showed just how proud these parents were to see their children grow into this lovely couple, now ready to start their lives together.
And then it was time to boogie! Everyone ended the night with their dancing shoes on and excitement drifting through the warm summer air with Hot Mess Band playing all night long.
