Avalon Windrift Hotel Wedding Contagious smiles, emotional moments, and ecstatic celebration. That is how I would sum up Emily and James’ wedding at The Windrift Hotel in Avalon, NJ. Day two was just as beautiful and fun as the couples previous day . Sparkles, hints of nautical notes and beachy colors accented the joyful moments of this stunning wedding. The day started off with beauty and affection as Emily and her bridesmaids got ready at The Windrift…

I started crying watching Emily’s tears roll down her cheek over a heartfelt card from her mother. Emotions ran deep and quickly shifted to exuberant joy as Emily and her bridesmaid’s popped open the first bottle of champagne.
Radiating with beauty, Emily and her bridesmaids boarded a vintage trolley with their gorgeous bouquets from Blooms to head out and take bridal party photographs. We took photographs of Emily & her bridesmaids at The Wetlands Institute in Stone Harbor, NJ. I loved the geometry of the bridges spanning over the vast marshes.
Emily & her bridesmaids absolutely glowed in the warm sun! We couldn’t have had a better weather to match their beaming smiles.
Meanwhile, back at The Windrift, James & the guys were busy getting ready and toasting a few beers to start off their day of excitement. Basic invite made elegant nautical themed cards to match the light and airy decorations for the ceremony.
The flower girls and ring bearer were too precious! Everyone had huge smiles and signs of anticipation on their faces..especially James & Emily!
It was moving to see the range of emotions Emily & James went through during their truly magnificent ceremony.
I was honored to be able to capture Emily & James’ first few moments alone as husband and wife together on the beach. The sunset and emotions couldn’t have been more real and picturesque.
Absolutely stunning florals paired perfectly with the sandy beach.
This is definitely one of my favorite images from the day. The colors of the ocean, sky and sand, combined with Emily’s figure and her flowing dress were unstoppable!
Back to the trolley with some of their closest friends, Emily & James headed out to squeeze in a few group and solo couple photographs before the reception.
The sunset made a breathtaking backdrop as James & Emily reflected on their new future together as husband and wife.
Emily & James balanced the beautiful emotions with just as much excitement when we did a full bridal party and close friends champagne popping photograph! Like the ocean foam spraying over the beach, champagne mist signaled the evening was off to a great start.
Bake Works made a beautiful nautical inspired cake to match the decor for the reception. With the band Modern Luxe playing cover songs the scene was set for a party.
Emily & James were neighbors on their dorm floor freshman year at University of Delaware (although they didn’t start dating until the end of sophomore year!) so we had to end the night by taking this group photo. I couldn’t think of a better wedding to end off 2019.
