Teresa and Howard are the most adorable couple! They are so fun and loving towards one another, there was no staging necessary. Both Teresa and Howard got ready at Teresa’s parents home, where she grew up. Teresa has three sisters, and it made it even more special to have them all there by her side, laughing and sharing the moments together.
Teresa was stunning in her classic wedding dress with gorgeous, subtle champagne undertones. Teresa’s hair and makeup were stunning, too, thanks to Meagan Jones and Stacey Palancia. As she walked down the stairs to meet Howard for the first look, I loved capturing her beauty set against the gallery wall of family photos. It was an emotional moment when they saw one another for the first time, and after a few couple portraits, we were off to the ceremony.
The ceremony took place St. Edward the Confessor Church in New Fairfield, CT — such a darling church! After the ceremony we headed to the reception at Le Chateau in Salem, NY. It was my first time photographing here, and I thought it was wonderful. Being a multi-cultural wedding, they did a beautiful job with the menu catering both types of cuisines. There were so many gorgeous spots for family and couples photos. The “Flowers by Danielle” were gorgeous! The floral colors were so natural in shades of quicksand, rose and green.
As much as I feel the formal pictures are important, spontaneous pictures that capture the emotion of it all tend to be my favorite. For Teresa, the importance of her wedding photographs was to capture the beauty of the moment and the sentiment of the day. I couldn’t have said it better myself! This fun family-centered wedding was such a blast to capture, and I wish you, Teresa and Howard, a long life of love and happiness. Cheers!
