Chris and Lindsay hosted their elegant wedding at The Wadsworth Mansion in Middletown, CT. It was an effortlessly beautiful evening, adorned with colors of deep burgundy, gold, and eucalyptus greens.
We started the day at the mansion with getting ready photos in the bridal suite, followed by a first look in the beautiful expansive lawn and flower garden. The hydrangea flowers were in full bloom, and they were a perfect background for the first look. After they saw each other for the first time they were all smiles and ready to begin the ceremony.
A little background on the couple: Chris and Lindsay met at Uconn Law School, and were friends first for almost 2 years, which we all know is the secret recipe to a wonderful marriage! Lindsay says “we were best friends first and that carried over into our relationship.” To have a best friend that is also your spouse is simply amazing — I know first hand! Their closest friends and family were by their sides as they said their vows, and after sealing their vows with a kiss, it was time to celebrate.
The weather that evening simply perfect, and the cocktail hour was hosted on the back patio. I knew we were in for a good evening because the catering was provided by David Alan Catering and their food is simply some of the best. I loved that all the special moments of the evening could be outside: speeches by their best friends, Lindsay’s father, their first dance and parents dances. The Classic Yellow band made it irresistible not to be on your feet and everyone was on the dance floor. Thank you Chris and Lindsay for allowing me to be a part of your very special day. I loved capturing it for you. Congratulations!
