Cailene and Steve had a beautiful wedding in Hartford, Connecticut. They spent the morning getting ready with their best friends at the Residence Inn Marriott in downtown Hartford. While getting ready, they separately exchanged cards to one another. I loved how much Cailene blushed while reading her card — by her expression, I could tell it was already one of the best days of her life. After reading the letters, her mom and sister helped her slip into her gorgeous dress and shoes. The most sentimental piece of jewelry was a piece that belonged to her Grandmother. It was a beautiful way to keep her Grandmother by her side all day.
The first look they shared was so sentimental and a moment that they will never forget. In front of the Old State House, Steve waited for his bride-to-be. I loved the way Steve looked at her, and how they shared a prayer immediately after greeting one another.
The flower girl and the ring bearers were so adorable. And the best part? Her dogs were apart of it too. During formal family photos, the pups made an appearance, allowing them to be a part of their special day.
After the ceremony they walked down the street to enjoy the evening at the Society Room of Hartford. The colors they chose to represent their big day were gold, blush, and champagne, which definitely shows off their romantic side and beautifully accented the vintage vibe of the Society Room. It was an evening filled with emotion and fun, and they danced the night away with their family and guests. At the end of the night they enjoyed cake with one of the cutest cake toppers I’ve ever seen: figurines of themselves!
