I first met Abby when I was working at This Old House TV in Boston — Abby worked for one of the show’s underwriters and we became besties right away. Years later when I moved back to CT, I ran into Abby at an event I was photographing and we couldn’t believe it. It was so great to connect again in my home state, and we’ve been hanging out ever since. Abby is so warm, charming and fun-loving, and I knew that any man that stole her heart would have to be exactly the same way. Eric is just that! He loves to make jokes, and they are so playful together. I love how they are always smiling around one another.
Abby and Eric met through Eric’s brother and sister-in-law who both work with Abby. Their family likes to joke about who to give credit to – either Eric’s brother or his wife. We know who would win that argument! After they began dating, they moved in together after a year, and were engaged just after their 2 year anniversary. They truly knew it was meant to be.
The wedding venue and reception was so perfect for them — unique and charming. Abby knew I would be equally as excited about the location as she was, and she was right. The Hancock Shaker Village has tons of rustic charm inside of the barn, and the well-maintained grounds are stunning. It’s a photographers dream. There was no shortage of locations to use as backdrops for their portraits, and the ceremony on the open grass with the barn behind them was beautiful. It was a magical day fall day, and one of my favorite weddings I’ve ever captured. Look at all the color, love and passion that emanates from these photographs!
