My sister lives on the northern beaches of Sydney, Australia and Olivia is her gorgeous 18 month old baby. Clareville, overlooking Pittwater bay, is a local beach with calm, beautiful water that is also baby friendly.
On the northern beaches, the ocean is on one side and Pittwater bay is on the other. As you drive up Barrenjoey Road, there are lookouts lining the many beaches on the coast.
My sister and I took a day trip into the city to see the Sydney bridge, the harbor and the opera house, an architectural landmark that everyone knows. We also treated ourselves to a fabulous lunch at Rock Pool Bar and Grill. The food was delicious but I opted not to take any photographs; it was quite fancy and I was having a shy moment!
