For the past two years Steve and I have gone to Block Island at the end of the summer for one last getaway. After the crowds have subsided, all that is left is sheer beauty and relaxation. Block Island is very magical to me because it seems so untouched and then you will find things to surprise you like cows, horses and deer. This year we stayed at the Atlantic Inn. The first photograph is the view from our room, and the last is our hammock that we spent about four hours laying on over the course of our three-day trip. Sometimes the simple things in life are the best. I look forward to getting back next year to discover even more treasures on the island.
